TV Show Promo of the Day: New series regulars Jason Sudeikis and Ike Barinholtz make a brief appearance in the first full trailer for the third season of Eastbound & Down, which returns to HBO Sunday, February 19th.

This show is so stupid. I love everything about it.

And I am still trying to figure out when television surpassed movies in terms of quality (growing up on so much 70s, 80s, and 90s programming has always led me to the assumption that television was generally written by the college English major flunkies). It’s the perfect medium for crafting complex characters and deliberate storylines - and it seems only in the past decade that people behind television have really realized how unique the platform is. Now, we have Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Boardwalk Empire, Louie, Game of Thrones, Justified, Bored to Death, Californication, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Luck, and even the so-so (but still potentially written by college English major flunkies) Hell on Wheels and The Walking Dead… I can’t possibly keep up with all these quality TV shows. Who can?
